01Who we are
This website is run by Maxscripts Enterprise Pvt Ltd, formerly MaxScripts Technologies (“Maxscripts”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in India with its registered office at B45, Krushuk Mahila Cooperative Housing Society, Dhaba Road, Nagpur, Maharashtra 441501, India.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the “data fiduciary” for this data.
02What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the enquiries you send us.
03What we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us by email or through an enquiry form, we collect the details you choose to share, such as:
- Your name and work email address
- Your company or organisation
- What you would like to explore, and anything else you write in your message
Please don’t send confidential or sensitive information in a first enquiry. We are happy to sign an NDA before detailed discussions.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the servers that host this site keep short technical logs of each request, including your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels, and it does not store anything in your browser. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so visiting a page does not send your data to third parties. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
04How we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange calls
- Prepare proposals, estimates and agreements you ask for
- Keep this website secure and working properly
- Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
05Why we are allowed to use it
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you contact us, or for legitimate uses permitted by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such as responding to a request you have made or meeting a legal obligation.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, and on legal obligations.
06Who we share it with
We share personal data only when we need to:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A buyer or successor if our business is reorganised, merged or sold, under the same protections.
07International transfers
We work with clients in India, the United States, Canada, Australia and elsewhere, and some of our service providers store data outside India. When your data is transferred abroad, we use providers with appropriate safeguards and only transfer it to countries permitted under Indian law.
08How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client contacts: for the length of the engagement and as long afterwards as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a short period, normally no more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
09How we protect it
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access only for people who need it, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
10Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used
- Ask us to correct, complete or update it
- Ask us to erase it when it is no longer needed
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated
- Raise a grievance with us, and if it is not resolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India
Visitors in other countries may have similar rights under their local laws. To use any of these rights, email [privacy@ email address]. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within the time the law requires.
11Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on this page.
13Contact and grievances
If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
We will acknowledge your grievance promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
